Wait. Myrkr like the lady vocals band? Serious question. Or are there two Myrkr?

guess early Immortal isn't as close to people's hearts as their later material...?

Pure Holocaust would be in my top 10.

Trapt: I'm fine with you including Moon in the Scorpio, right on the edge timewise, but I think it counts as one of the last from the period and certainly has fitting production.

RO, At the Heart of Winter, while good, is a Tagtren production from the late 90s, really have a hard time seeing that as qualifying for this question.

Looks like only cotb and I gave a nod to Satyricon. Too bad, all three of their first albums would be in a top 15 of this poll.

No way can the first two Satyricon be excluded.
Never cared for Immortal in the least.

Nemesis Divina has great riffs for fucking days. Since we're disqualifying At the Heart of Winter, I have no problem sliding that album into my top five. Filosofem remains an honorable mention.

Well if At The Heart Of Winter is disqualified then I guess I'll slide Darkthrone - Under A Funeral Moon into the list.

Think the one you're thinking of is Myrkur?

You see my confusion as to why V would be mentioning it.

Yes! Black metal can be irritating like that. Reminds me of Nagelfar / Naglfar.

Mayhem-De mysteriis Dom Sathanas
Burzum-Hvis Lyset Tar Oss

Hvis and Transilvanian can be changed out at any point with Det Som or Panzerfaust depending on my mood.
