I downloaded it. Not bad, they cut off that irritating piano intro to Alt Lys Servennet Hen or whatever the first song was, and made a few other minor changes here and there. The most noticeable differences were the vocals and the production, and I preferred the original. It's pretty good, but I like the first one better. Nothing to bitch about. |

btw... does the re-recording means that they want to put lame symphony orchestra in it as well? ... and uh!... i haven't heard the original... so i have no idea of how it sounds... |

I haven't heard the re-recording but considering how Shagrath's vocals have grown subsequently worse it's probably not a good idea to re-record old material.. Hell. On Death Cult Armageddon (most notably on track 6 Blood Hunger Doctrine around 2:49 and 3:15) he sounds like freakin' Popeye the Sailor... I never really liked Dimmu Borgir though so I might be slightly biased.. |
