Anyone heard this yet? Listening for a review (probably next week, now) and it's not grabbing me as up to their usual standard...

Lost interest in these guys a long time ago.

It's good, but it meanders. After the last EP, I had high hopes but it isn't mind-blowing.

Haven't heard it yet, probably will mildly enjoy it in small does if it is typical latter Agalloch.

haven't checked it out, probably wont.

First two albums are good and their demos are very good, though.

The first time I heard The Mantle I was absolutely blown away. It was on rotation until, say, 4 years ago. But I suddenly got sick of it and sick of all Agalloch. They're a gateway band into the underground. Personally, Nowadays they haven't survived after more than a decade like other bands such as Emperor and Maiden. I won't be checking this out. Alongside with Insomnium's latest.

This one never really appealed to me like some of their other material has in the past.

Odd, I preferred this to their last two full-lengths. The Faustian ep from 2012 is still probably the best thing they've ever done.

To be completely honest I do need to give this album a few more listens. I've listened to it twice and nothing really captured my attention.

I just kept spinning it and eventually it really clicked for me. I know it is cliche now, but I think this disc might take several listens.
