Many consider this the worst album in the Testament discography because they seemed to sacrifice good songwriting for sheer musical brutality. Now to once again poll this board and see whether they agree or disagree.

I voted "Hit" because I like Demonic Refusal, John Doe and Hatreds Rise (love that opening riff!). The remaining songs are reasonably good, but nothing too terribly memorable.

Hit, I liked it, but a lot of the songs are gone from your memory as soon as you take it out of the player. I like "The Gathering" a lot better, but this is still a good attempt at Death Metal.

One of my favorite bands, but I had to vote Miss. It's definitely their worst album. I love the heaviness, but there is no melody, there's not a whole lot of memorable material. "Hatreds Rise" is easily the best song on the album and that sounds like classic Testament. There's a hook, there's some dynamics in the vocals, it's catchy.

The rest of the album isn't bad, but it's not great and Testament are a great band. I do listen to this album on occassion, but it's definitely my least favorite.

Miss.

I'd say hit. This was my first Testament album. I din't like it initially, but on repeated listens, it grew on me. Maybe I liked it coz i din't expect something different.
