What is your opinion?

The new track is probably my favourite I've heard of theirs, but that's a shame because to me it also seems to be one of their more "conventional" ones. Some of their other, more out-there psychedelic stuff is the kind of thing I want to like, but so far it's never really drawn me in, you know? Some of the lead guitar playing can sound kind of weak as well, which is a big minus for me.

Well I shall revisit them... My opinions have been swinging about alarmingly rapidly recently so who knows?

BTW, what did you think of the Black Funeral on that CD?

Ooooh.... I wasn't paying attention and just assumed you were talking about the Meads track.... But I'm with you now. Black Funeral... Now that is a nice guitar tone Weird riffs, no? Almost sounds as if some one is just modulating the pitch of one consistent tone on a computer. The simplicity of the rhythms they are using is really striking. Cool!

EDIT: Was listening to "Bound alive" and "Assault and Battery"... I really don't like these... sounds almost as if they had only just invented the concept of synth + distorted guitar. But some of it works much better: "Neurodeliri" sounds like the perfect synthesis of Hawkwind and BM in harmony

Hawkwind are awesome. I keep meaning to get an album, but always get distracted by something else...
And yeah, Black Funeral are good. I like 'em much better than Darkthrone, say, good stuff.

Do you have any Black Funeral other than this track? I was not familiar with them up til now...

I first found out about them after Valefor mentioned them once (RIP :roll: ), I think their site might have some samples, I'll toddle along now and have a butchers'.
