I thought about that but Wintersun is more extreme metal then anything.

I'm not into extreme metal (except for thrash metal) and I love Wintersun. And it doesn't sound that extreme to me...

First album kicks ass. I have a feeling that when/if a second is released a lot of people will be let down, just due to the long wait and anticipation.

Cause you're not gonna talk about Morbid Saint in the same thread you talk about Rhapsody of Fire.

True. Perhaps Rhapsody deserves its own forum.

I think they just go together better than Thrash and Heavy - bear in mind when the whole MR caboodle kicked off there were few Black Metalheads, and they were mostly into the melodeath side of stuff. Do Sabbat and Hammerfall belong in the same forum, like DevWal said in a less awesome way?

Yeah, that's sad.
Gothic metal is either extreme and fitting the thrash/black/death section or nu-shit and then it goes into the "borderlines genres".
As for Doom, Stoner and Sludge, trad' Doom goes well with heavy, funeral doom with the extreme section and the stoner & sludge in the "borderline"...

sure it may not get a lot of attention, but it's not a hindrance by no means.
