I love Pig Destroyer. I call Pig Destroyer grindcore. Talking to friends in the hardcore scene and calling PD grindcore led to a bunch of whoas and I don't know, it's not the same thing blah blah. We were talking about bands like Terrorizer, Gridlink, Discordance Axis, Machetazo and apparently god forbid I mention Pig Destroyer. I know Hull incorporates a lot of death and thrash riffs into PD but was it really a big deal or am I missing something? Are hardcore punks just weird about PD?

They're Grindcore... as far as I can tell. They seem to meet the criteria.

That vid was sick.
And they're definitely grindcore. Sure, there are some other influences on Phantom Limb, but still.

They're more likely elitists than ignorant. I just feel like Terrifyer is the best grindcore album and if it wasn't grindcore I feel like my knowledge of grindcore would have to be thrown out the window.
