For some reason I always overlooked Gorgoroth's material with Gaahl on vocals when I got into black metal. Recently I've been listening to all of their material with Gaahl. What a great fucking band. Fucking awesome vocals, great riffs, great fucking band man.

Without getting too much into Marduk territory, Gorgoroth really is abrasive and intense black metal. I haven't heard much of the band though my favorite song is Procreating Satan, I really should check them out.

Check out Antichrist, its not only their best, but one of the highlights of Norwegian Black Metal.

eh, I wouldn't compare them to Marduk so much.

I deleted all of my music off of my hard drive and I don't download so I can only buy 1 album or so every few weeks and play it out.

Just purchased Incipit Satan.

I don't think you can really go wrong with any of their work, even the new album without Ghaal is pretty good.

The new album is great. Every single album by this band is good. Just a solid band that refuses to compromise.

Incipit Satan is kind of average. Not too good and not too bad either. I usually make sure no one is around when "When Love Rages Wild In My Heart." ends. It's got this annoying vocals that sound like, "How 'bout rounds with me?" . Pretty embarassing too.
