Curiously, after conducting a search of the website, there are no reviews, either classic or weekly for any Holy Terror release. I find this unacceptable and humbly request a classic review for either "Terror and Submission," or "Mind Wars." This band is probably the most unique thrash metal band to come out of California and sadly is overlooked all too often considering how special their music was.

Mind Wars is one of my favorite thrash metal albums of, and is one of the most overlooked thrash gems of the 80's underground. The speed of songs such as Christian Resistance and No Resurrection, is why I love the thrash genre as I do. I remember some friends and I tried to cover Christian Resistance a few years ago, and it took us about four attempts to master those rapid transitions. To me they are the epitome of American thrash metal, and deserve more credit than overrated hacks like Megadeth and Testament.

Hey, if you do one, I'll do the other. Reviews for those are long overdue.

Glad we got the ball rolling. To me they are the best American thrash metal band. They were twice as fast, twice as technical, and twice as awesome as every other American thrash metal band.

Their lyrics as well are simply amazing. Also, Keith Dean has got to be one of the most original vocalists. His ability to switch between a melodic more traditional metal voice and an insane rapid fire lunatic voice were extremely unique. It's a shame they all became addicted to heroin and broke up.

I hear rumors that Kurt Kilfeldt and some of the other members recorded a third album that never had vocals put over it. They actually asked my friend Sean to do vocals for it a few years ago when we were still doing Harbinger. It would have been cool if he had auditioned.

Wtf... Harbinger split up? Why?

I was just listening to Doom On You yesterday on a long and boring train trip and it cheered me up and energized me and made me want a new album like that.

Holy Terror was awesome. Debt of Pain is one of my favourite thrash songs ever.

Yeah Harb has been done for a at least a year. We did a final show with Enforcer and since then no one has really talked to anyone else. Me and the drummer teamed up with a friend and recorded four songs for a demo project called "Borrowed Time." Victor, my brother and guitarist for Sauron and second guitarist in Harbinger, took over for me in Borrowed Time. So, Borrowed Time is the successor to Harbinger, though it's less speed metal and more traditional metal.

Consquently, the demo is now available if you go to the myspace page. www.myspace.com/borrowedtimemetal.

They are performing in Detroit on the 19th with Raven. Should be awesome. I live in Arizona now so there's no way I can go...which is a bummer.

Ooohhh our states are touching! So kinky hehe!

In all seriousness though I've never checked out Holy Terror until now, thanks for reminding me. I've just been so busy with other old-school bands haha. Like I guess one of the dudes was in Thrust, which I recently got an album of. Its like so many bands are connected. I love how many hidden gems there are in the past. I mean it sucks they never got the love they deserved, but at least there are those of us who can appreciate the art and have plenty to uncover.

I think it's the best. It is the perfect blend of all that is good in metal. Awesome heavy and melodic riffing. Great leads, great song structures, great vocals, great lyrics, everything is fucking great about this album.!!!!!

It's great as well, but Mind Wars goes a step further. Although, Terror and Submission has one of my absolute favorite HOly Terror songs, "Distant Calling."

Distant Calling is extremely cool, best song of the album IMO.
