For those deep enough to delve into their memory banks, or for those who are rabid fans of their favorite eighties thrash act, what album and why do you believe the album to be an impressive thrash debut. How do you think it stacks against other potent thrash releases?

Exodus Bonded by Blood. One of the best thrash record of all times in their debut. Never reached that level again.

Sabbat History Of A Time To Come & Kreator Endless Pain are very close.

Endless Pain? Really?

I'd say Bonded By Blood. But there are others..:

Darkness - Death Squad
Destruction - Infernal Overkill
Overkill - Feel the Fire
Metallica - Kill Em All
Morbid Saint - Spectrum of Death
Vendetta - Brain Damage
Testament - The Legacy (really the only good thing they did)

there are more, but these are all I can think of right now.

more:
Annihilator - Alice in Hell
Holy Terror - Mind Wars
Infernal Majesty - None Shall Defy
Minotaur - Power of Darkness
Forbidden - Forbidden Evil
Flotsam and Jetsam - Doomsday for the Deceiver

If you don't consider the ep Sentence Of Death, yeah.

i don't because it's an EP not a full album, although it's close.

Overkill - Feel The Fire
Sabbat - History Of A Time To Come
Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Tankard - Zombie Attack (Not as awesome as chemical invasion but still a killer debut)
Sodom - In The Sign Of Evil

Metallica - Kill 'em All
Exodus - Bonded by Blood
Testament - The Legacy
Annihilator - Alice in Hell

The last 3 I listed are my favourite albums by those bands.

1. Kreator - Endless Pain
2. Testament - The Legacy (only 1 I like)
3. Annihilator - Alice In Hell
4. Metallica - Kill 'Em All

It's interesting but I don't think that other than Metallica the Big 4 had very impressive debuts.

Killing Is My Business is good but not spectacular, Show No Mercy is too rooted in NWOBHM and Fistful of Metal is a bit third rate.

Certainly their second albums (Peace Sells, Hell Awaits and Spreading The Disease) were much more impressive.

I agree yet disagree so much with this

I know Kill em all is an overrated boring album, and only Slayer is worthwhile out of the Big 4.
