what's some good black metal you've been into lately?

I've been listening to the band Craft and am enjoying their style.

Ah, misread 'forgot' as 'forget'.

Some BM bands I've come across recently that I think are good:

Terzij de Horde (really good, comparable to Altar of Plagues or Krallice)

http://www.myspace.com/terzijdehorde

Castevet (Pretty good experimental BM on Profound Lore)

http://www.myspace.com/castevet

Skagos (Folksy black metal with strong WITTR influences)

http://www.myspace.com/skagos

I've also been listening to quite a lot of Panopticon, Iskra and Behexen recently.

This is a bit of a hipster post but hey. The best albums of recent times I think are probably the new Twilight, Nachtmystium and Watain.

Lunar Aurora for sure. Wolves in the Throne Room, Kvist (see my latest classic) Negura Bunget, Drudkh, Naglfar, Melechesh, Khold.

That and the other guys postings should be plenty.

Kroda (despite what Rio thinks!)

http://www.myspace.com/krodaua

Janus/Janvs

http://www.myspace.com/janvsdotit

Blood of Kingu (if the idea of a faster Drudkh appeals)

http://www.myspace.com/bloodofkinguband

Gris

http://www.myspace.com/niflheim5

Bornholm

http://www.myspace.com/bornholm

Sear Bliss

Katharsis, Penses Nocturnes, Nokturnal Mortum, Burzum, Lunar Aurora, Maniac Butcher, and of course the big 4: Negura Bunget, Moonsorrow, Darkestrah, Drudkh.

Speaking of Rio, I must agree with him on Skagos. Despite the undoubtedly eco/leftist sympathies and WITTR heritage, the music is clearly very good. Thanks for the rec, Rio!

Currently been rocking a lot of:

Lunar Aurora - Andact
Thulcandra - Fallen Angel's Dominion
Terzij De Horde
Celestia - Archaenae Perfectii

As far as current albums go... As for a now oldie but a goodie, been listening to a lot of Oranssi Pazuzu.

All are good stuff.

One of the few that I really like is Crionics first two albums. Brilliant in every respect. But this is nothing new and I've mentioned it several times by now.
