I don't mind them. I remember buying their first ep ages ago, and have casually listened to them since. Unfortunately they are neither the best nor particularly awesome, which is a shame. I also recall during the 2007 Summer Slaughter Tour they opened and got pissed because the crowd didn't want to start a "pit". The vocalist got all angry and shit and thankfully their set was short.
Personally I like their first ep the best probably, it has some good songs, drumming and a decent solo. But their biggest problem is trying to bridge different genres that attract different crowds. Its like being bisexual and pissing off the gays and straights, teasing them with a little of each but never fully giving them what they want. There is a small but decent "tech/grind/deathcore" thing going on, but most acts have very limited appeal.
Overall a band I got into back in I want to say 2k4 and own all their shit, but am rarely bothered to give 'em a listen cause there are better bands in every aspect. Poor guys get alot of shit, and suprisingly, so does tech death. You don't like it fine, but to go to rediculous lengths to knock it or slander it is just absurd and juvenile.
Noods is right when he says the band is an example of what is wrong with tech shit. While I personally enjoy the intensity of the brutal death aspect of Mechanics of dysfunction, the constant sweep riffing is highly annoying and trying on my patience. Put that together with shitty bands such as Brain Drill, Necrophagist, Spawn of Possession, and Origin and you have a genre that blows
