Tell me some death/black/thrash albums you guys have been listening to. I lost my whole metal collection when I went crazy. I like stuff that isn't too overproduced, not too technical, stuff from the early and mid 90's is great in the death metal department. I know quite a few bands already some more underground stuff would be appreciated...I've heard most of the classics, looking for something new. |

For Black Metal: Listen to The Stone. Fantastic band from Serbia, their Umro album was my #1 pick from last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdmSvP65 ... re=related For Death Metal: Listen to some old Mortification. Scrolls of the Megilloth is one of those underground classics that I personally think every death metal fan needs to own. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu4KTS3iNGc For Thrash: Check out some older Nocturnal Breed. Their latest album is a bit too polished for you I reckon, but their older stuff is rawer , though not necessarily better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKhPRWK- ... re=related If you're looking for something more technical, the new Paradox album, Riot Squad, is really good, though once again, it has a pretty clean production so you may not like that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mad2N-DVW1o |

Yeah Deadsea are basically the best. They should get some kind of cult classic status soon enough because they're old school enough to appeal to those people but also have enough sweep picking and clean vocals to appeal to technical death metal and Opeth/Mastodon-type people too. |
