TiA is a much more mature and progressive album. Focus isn't bad by any means but TiA beats it in terms of direction and overall song writing. It works much better as a whole. Focus isn't really one of the best proto-tech death albums anyways. Atheist and Death both wrote better ones. TiA takes what they used to do and improves it tenfold by being much better composed and more focused. 
The songwriting is just impeccable and can't be beat. |
