I agree Trial By Fire blew me away too! Great song and video. I love Practice What You Preach alot too though. I prefer the older albums but the new one is good. I need to check out their middle era. I do like Eric Peterson's other band Dragonlord alot. Some beautiful moments in there. Cemetary's album kicks ass! Love those guys. |

+1. The only stuff I like about Testament is the lead melody before and after the solo of over the wall, return to serenity and first strike is deadly. The rest of their stuff is just so so. Now wonder you had the "Big Four" of thrash and not "Big Five." |

I agree. The hate on this board for this band is ridiculous. Testament is good stuff. |

That's probably why they're part of the so-called "second wave" of Bay Area thrash. ![]() |

For some strange reason I find Demonic thoroughly enjoyable compared to their more thrashier stuff. That's probably the only other thing I enjoyed from this band. |

Who are you people? Does anyone actually strive to fully understand things these days or what? I mean, is everything just so immediate that no one is bothered to research shit they have opinions on? Yes, Testament had a successful era--it's call their whole career. Or is this one of those instances where mainstream success matters? Doesn't matter when concerning classics, right? But it totally matters in terms of success. Pffft! ![]() |
