Any black metal bands that sounds like Anthelion, Deathwitch, Sacramentum, Void of Silence, Diabolical Maquerade, Equilibrium(Germany), Sigh, Melechesh,(old) Forest of Shadows,(old)Dismal Euphony,(new)Seance, (old)Necrophobic, Dark Fortress, Lord Belial, (old) Cemetary, Tyrant(Japan), Oathean(3rd album for the most folk elements) Penumbra(France w/ bagpipes) and Limbonic Art.

Why I like this picture of Atrocity is because it captures the heat of the moment. It's organic and the overall quality? Absolutely Brillant!

Did you mean Equilibrium from Germany? If you did, then maybe you can try Cthonic from Taiwan. They're new album is pretty killer.

I meant the one in Germany. I'll go and edit that and put (GER) on the side. Speaking of Germany, have you ever heard of a band called Sanity? Damn, those guys are good but I can't find their website anymore nor do they have any information on any other sites as well.

Yeah, I have the Cthonic DVD. It's different...the camera work, the editing, the tainted picture, and the lightning just gave me a headache, the band is good. I thought Anthelion also from Taiwan just really hits everything on the nail. I don't know if his screams are that naturally long or it's the effects but it's everything that I ask for in blackmetal. It's all in there.

May I recommend, This is the first Korean Black Metal album to be released. Kalpa and Sad Legend is out of print. Extremely evil, violent and epic. Write me if interested for a copy/trade.
Sad Legend, Kalpa, Oathean DVD/CD and Moonshine, Jusin Productions, co.kr. Just to name a few.

Well, for your information, I came to the United States when I was 13. I'm 41 now. I'm Korean-Chicago Blooded. Is that a problem?

I'm Korean first. Did that correct you?

What bands do you like?

haha, why would it be a problem? Don't be so defensive, it was just an observation. I figured you packed up and went to S. Korea.
And, hah, I don't need correcting, thank you.

So... you live in Chicago, or S. Korea? I'm Irish, but I don't list my location as Ireland... seems a bit odd, but whatever, it's no concern of mine.

Bands? I am afraid the usual cliche answer will have to do, that being:

"too many to really list",

but as for genre, Black Metal, Doom / Funeral Doom, Thrash, NWOBHM / Traditional and a very very little oldschool death Metal (Death, Possessed, Obituary). Take a gander at the now playing thread for more real time details, I'm usually on just about every night.
Only genres I really can't stand are Death Metal and Power Metal.
Also listen to quite a bit of Psychobilly / surf / etc.
A little punk, a little deathrock, here and there...

Greetings and welcome BTW.

Would it make you happier if I changed it to Chicago again? Yes, one day. From love to hate, Yes, that's right. Fucking stupid uneducated trash.

Wow, for a newcomer you sure are coming off as a douchebag.

Just what this place needs: another twat.

Oh, and dearie, when throwing around phrases like

Fucking stupid uneducated trash

You might want to master rudimentary grammar skills, first; it just looks bad.

Keep metal alive, my friend. I will no longer be a member. Take good care.

Dude, relax. No reason to leave.
Going from Chicago to S. Korea in one day just seems like a huge move, and I asked about it. Sorry if that is a touchy subject for you.
No reason to be snippy, or throw out cheap dime-store insults, it was just a question. A simple answer (or not, you weren't obligated, after all) would have sufficed.

Whatever, do as you wish.
