I'm listening to it again right now, I think it's easily one of the band's best and it's one of my favorite Thrash albums of the 21st century. No one really seems to agree with my, though... What do you guys think? |

It has some good songs, but I like Tempo Of The Damned better. |

My thoughts exactly. Raze etc are cool, but simply not up to the likes of The Scar-Spangled Bannnnnnnnnaaaar. |

For whatever reason, I didn't like Tempo Of The Damned too well... Maybe it's time to give it another listen. But yes, Goat, Scar Spangled Banner is easily one of their best songs, even though it's the only one on the album that really grabbed me. |

None of their new albums its their best one, there is only one best Exodus album and that is Bonded By Blood. Tempo Of The Damned is a good album, it is a rebirth of sorts for the band, even with all the groove and rap parts the album its quite decent and it somehow works, Shovel headed on the other hand has the same ideas of tempo of the damned but it doesnt work that well, it ranges from mediocre to crap with a few good bits here and there. And c'mon favorite Thrash album of the 21st century? there are lots that are better. |

Agreed there. Just off the top of my head: Sodom - M-16, Sodom Mekong Delta - Lurking Fear Kreator - Violent Revolution, Enemy of God, Hordes of Chaos I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch, but I definitely like all those better than Tempo or Shovel. If you haven't listened to some of those Kyle, I'd recommend it. Might just change your mind. |

I also own all three of those Kreator albums and, while all great, Hordes Of Chaos is by far the best of the three. My favorite Kreator album since Coma Of Souls. As for Mekong Delta, I'll have to check that out... thanks for the recommendation. And perhaps I should edit the post to say one of my favorites of the 21st century and not the best... EDIT: Wait, I DID put favorite instead of best... oy. ![]() |

This was the first thing I heard of Exodus actually, but I like Tempo of the Damned better. But yeah, doesn't reach BBB to it's knees even. |

I love me some Exodus, cool guys too, well Holt is anyway imho.TotD is my favorite of theirs, though SHKM is a good cd,its definitely a different approach in style imo.Personally I find the Atrocity Exhibition to be fantastic,so many good lyrics and solos.I can't wait till exhibit B comes out. |

At War - Infidel Sacrifice - The Ones I Condemn Dekapitator - The Storm Before the Calm Sauron - Thrash Assault Fastkill - Infernal Thrashing Holcaust, Nuclear Thrashing Death Insane - Wait and Prey Tankard - Kings of Beer, B-Day, Beast of Bourbon, The Beauty and the Beer, Thirst need I continue? SHKM was cool when it first came out, but it has not aged well. Just listen to BBB when it comes to Exodus. |

I like Tankard of those, but honestly I'd still prefer Exodus. They just "do it" for me.I've been spinning Hexen,Evile and Sadus abit lately, but mainly older stuff like Channel Zero and Coroner.Kreator and the like are nice but just, its hard to describe,I can never listen to a whole album.Just a song here and there. |

EDIT: Wait, I DID put favorite instead of best... oy. ![]() Haha, I know dude. If its really your favorite, more power to you. All I (and a few others) are saying is that if you listen to some more post-2000 thrash efforts, you might end up with a new favorite. Take Tankard for example, like DW said. There's some I should've mentioned. All awesome albums in my opinion, give em a try. |

I remember back my junior year when I bought Shovel headed Kill Machine, I thought it was the heaviest and most intense album in the universe. I still really love that album songs like Raze and .44 magnum opus still get the blood flowing when I listen to them. For the most part I even like most of the songs on Shovel headed even more so then 2/4 of Bonded by blood with Baloff; I just could never get into his vocals. |

I'll be getting some good money for doing a job in October and I want to buy at least 10 or 15 albums from Amazon, I might just add some of these to my list. |

I love 80's thrash... I basically worship Kreator, Slayer, Rigor Mortis, etc. But for whatever reason, I just could never get into Sodom. I tried Agent Orange and M-16 but neither really ever grabbed me. Maybe I'm just starting in the wrong place... |

You could try Persecution Mania but it doesn't look like you'll enjoy it either. |

Also check out Code Red and Better off Dead. Code Red is a typical (awesome) thrasher and Better Off Dead is more melodic rockish thrash, but still all kinds of awesome. If you can't get into any of those, then Sodom is not for you. |
