Some of you may dig this. My friend Kieran has just put out his very first release on his upstart label, Slaney Records. The release is the first in a series of splits. I worked with him on getting things together for over a year. The first release was supposed to be between Scars (I reviewed them here long ago, remember?) and Forte.
Scars had their shit together, but Forte kind of dicked us over. Not intentionally, I don't think, but we just kept waiting and waiting and waiting, you know. Eventually Greg mentioned having to re-record a bunch of things due to their singer bailing, and them not having money, and so on. So it all just fell apart. I feel bad for Scars because they're stand-up dudes and had recorded some exclusive stuff for us. Hopefully Kieran can get something going with them soon.
