Freaky French BM with a little but of the Peste Noire touch, with disturbing Silencer-y vocals and plenty of well-executed classical instrumentation. Pretty cool- check it out! http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... =399721368 |

Review of this coming up today... BM fans with an interest in classical tomfoolery and general necro strangeness should give this a try... really! |

I have no idea why Peste Noire being an LLN band is such a commonly held misconception, seeing as they formed about 5 years after the LLN dissolved. Speaking of LLN, I must review some of their stuff. |

Fair enough, although the fact that Peste Noire doesn't suck is probably an even bigger clue. (Only joking, LLN fans!) |

Shut the fuck up, already. We get it: you don't like black metal, give it a fucking rest. What else is to be expected from someone in love with Moonspell? How many times are you going to claim that such and such is "shitty" or that "so and so" is "kvlt" (a term generally used by twats)? I have a feeling your departure from Metal Archives was due to others calling you out about your bullshit, ergo, they are"elitist" and so on... And no, I am not a huge fan of LLN, though there is some quality interspersed within that particular scene, so save it. |

I have spoken to the guy that runs the record label and he seems keen for mr.com to email some questions to Vaerohn, the man behind this project. So, if you have anything to ask, post it here. |

Don't forget the standards, like 'what do you think of downloading' and 'where did you get the band name' and 'what inspires you to create blek metl so cold so pure' and 'what's your favourite flavour of ice cream'. |

Funnily enough the album actually features a lengthy blues jam, which as far as I can tell is entirely unique in BM... so more likely to ask what inspired him to create such crazy mongrel BM, and isn't he aware that it's against the rules? |

I want to know where the piano piece at the end of song 2 comes from....rio? Also, ask him about playing everything on the album....it's got a fair few instruments on it, he played it all? |

It's an adaptation of a Chopin nocturne I think. Yeah, the instrumentation is a good question I could ask about that. |

Yeah, the instrumentation is a good question I could ask about that. Also you are right about the blues influence, the only black metal band I've ever heard that has had any discernible blues sound is a demo band called Damnatur. |

Nah, man, "mongrel" isn't a genre of black metal, it's just an adjective I used because the band has strange influences. ![]() Despite the blues bit, the main outside influence here is classical, so I'd call this "depressive black metal with a classical influence", if I was being very precise. Really glad you like the album. |
