My friend, who is a lot more into black metal than I am, told me Behexen is his favorite band. He said they're really hateful and evil.

Which album should I check out first???

you can't go wrong with Behexen, while most people would object to recommending a new album prior to their back catalogue My soul for his glory is quite honestly their best release in my opinion.

a friend of mine made a mix with industrial samples on some of their songs, they are pretty good.
