I couldn't believe this when I heard it, but it's true. Apparently things aren't working out between the rest of the band and Christian, so they've decided to move on without him. While I think this is total shit, I'm REALLY glad they've decided to stick together. They will probably not find another vocalist that is as complete as Christian, but their music is top notch and I'm really glad to hear they're moving on still. I just hope they enjoy the same success, they've been climbing their way up the ladder. These guys would probably be my favorite band if I wasn't such an In Flames fan boy, so as I said... Thank god they're still sticking around. I don't know who the hell can replace him. His vocals are just amazing in every aspect. http://www.scarsymmetry.com/ Quote: SCAR SYMMETRY parts ways with vocalist
Dear friends. A few months ago we decided to part ways with Christian. The reasons are mainly the cliched "business and creative differences" and lack of interpersonal chemistry. We came to a point where the band's existence was in jeopardy because of these differences, and the only way for us to continue with an inspired state of mind was to go through with this change in the line-up. This should come as a total surprise to most of you, though you might have wondered why no gigs/tours have been announced since the release of "Holographic Universe". The truth is, we have been offered several tours and one-off shows that everyone in the band wanted to do except for Christian. In a situation like that you get a lot of frustration and it was in everyone's best interest to go separate ways. We started Scar Symmetry just for the fun of it, never with the idea of becoming hugely successful or whatever. Now, three albums into our career, we've toured both Europe and North America, our latest CD made it to Billboard's Top Heatseekers' chart and we've enjoyed success way beyond our expectations. Needless to say, the situation for us as a band has changed since we started playing together in 2004 and the band is bigger than ever. We had the choice to either take a step back with Christian in the band or a step forward without him... We choose to go forward. There comes a time to let go and move on, and that time is now. Scar Symmetry wishes Christian the best of luck with his future endeavors and salutes the good times we had with him in the band. We will announce the identity of Christian's replacement shortly. |

Oh, that's a shit indeed. He's a great vocalist, a bit of touring on the back of an album as good as Holographic Universe could've really made them. Pity. |

Check out his side-project Miseration, by the way. Reviewed here by yours truly... |

I agree. Seeing that work performed live would have been nothing short of awesome. I'm really fucking pissed, because I had a chance to see them last year but it was a long drive and I couldn't get the time off work. But yeah... As I said hopefully they find another vocalist that can suit the band... And hopefully Christian gets with a band that's as awesome as SS. I like some of his other projects but they're just not as solid. Miseration was OK but I like Unmoored the most out of the other bands he's in. I don't understand why he didn't want to go out and promote SS on tour and other band related shit. I mean, he clearly likes being in a lot of projects, but why not take off with it when one of the bands gets some big recognition? |

It seems the band found two replacements. Couldn't tell if they are good because of the shitty quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YWdwpIvozk&feature=user |

What a fucking shame, HU is one of the albums of the year, and it will be very difficult if not impossible to find someone as good as Christian. |

Agreed, the unique thing about Christian is that he was pretty good on both the melodic death growls and the clean vocals. I think that was the main selling point of the band. |

Probably, and now they have some fucking memorable solos as well. At least they're getting 2 vocalists, cause if they tried finding another Christian, they would definitely fail. |
