So, I realise these guys are 'known'. I'm not purporting to have 'discovered' them or anything like that. I just want to know what people think of them. In terms of modern crossover, I think they're just as vital as Municipal Waste. Their self-titled debut (SSS) is just all kinds of kick ass. I really like the vocalist's delivery. Very crossover, but with an english punk sensibility which for some reason I feel adds authenticity. And I think that overall they're a little thrashier than the Waste. (not to say 'better'). Plus, I think it's a very concise band name for a crossover act. hehe. So, what's the consensus? Anyone dig these guys? http://www.myspace.com/shortsharpshockuk |

These have turned out well, but I saw them opening for Exodus a few years back and I just have to say that I never believed they would go anywhere, they sucked massive cock. |

I've never seen them live, so i can't comment, but the album is damned good. Since I already know you're a municipal waste fan I have no hesitation recommending it to you. |

Yeah man I think they're cool and I like the fact that apart from Carcass these are the only metal band I can think to have come out of Liverpool. But honestly I'm 100% sure they'll have improved from when I saw em, it was aaaages ago and it was shite. |

They're ok. Nothing too special. Saw them opening for Municipal Waste and in my opinion the gulf in quality was clear. |

Well i've not seen them live, but from their albums, i'd say the gulf is not so large. I'd say Hazardous Mutation is a better album than SSS by a good long way, definitely. On the other hand, I think SSS is just as good as Art of Partying. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to choose my favourite from those two albums. |
