Why all the hate on deathcore. I like some of it. Yet i still love old school death metal. I just wanted to know your reasons for hating it.

i think it's like any genre where some stuff, like Bring me the Horizon, is really cliche and bad but some stuff like, Glass Casket, is good

A lot of people don't like hardcore to begin with that's why you see a lot of hate on metalcore or anything with core in the title and a few people even those who like death metal don't care for hardcore to be added.

There's some Deathcore I can stomach if need be (The Red Chord opening for Converge on the 27th), but a lot of it seems like a bad mixture of macho-Hardcore and Death Metal with a huge dose of too many damn breakdowns.

I've never heard much of any -core so I can't tell you anything.

A lot of it is samey crap, it seems to be what bog-standard-metal-core has evolved into. As people said, some is good, but I prefer bands that genuinely mix hardcore and death metal, like Dying Fetus. The likes of Job For A Cowboy and even The Red Chord (a crappy Cephalic Carnage, anyone?) just make me want to listen to Angelcorpse and weep that all bands can't sound as good. Some modern bands that have elements of deathcore, such as Ted Maul, can be good, but overall, you stick some old Benediction on and tell me that's not better than any I Killed Sally With A Sledgehammer bollocks.

Man comparing Angelcorpse to JFAC or The Red Chord is like comparing chocolate to shit, no wonder you'll never like them.

Just tried them out. They are badass. another good deathcore band is knights of the abyss.

That's certainly my reason. I hate hardcore to begin with, so adulterating death metal with it just makes me angry in the bad way.

I just find any music with "-core" at the end to be boring and generic.
