I lost most of my music from M to S, all of which I listened to very often. Can you guys help me out here, mostly just by dropping band names. I lost like 10 Gigs of music. I haven't been here for a while.

Serves you right for downloading . But seriously, it is pretty painful when you lose music like that. Hope you find em all. That reminds me to take a back up of my stuff.

I buy CDs. Jesus, if all my music was downloaded I wouldn't even feel like I liked music.

Oh, I love music.

I actually lost around 400 cds once. I downloaded all that stuff since no one else had the albums or anything. It went something like this:

I took all the booklets from my cd collection
Put them in my car
Loaned the car to a guy
He bought the car
he put all the booklets in a bag
I never got that bag from him
I threw out all the cases and took the back portion of artwork and put them aside
spilled beer on them at some point
threw the tray liner notes away
kept a stack of 400 cds next to a cd player
eventually they were all over the floor
they all got systematically scratched and broken
threw away all of them because none would play.

that was like 18 months ago and have only managed to buy about 150 cds since

This is kinda the problem with downloading. If you lose all of it on the computer, there's no physical copy to back it up with. Yes, CDs can break or be lost, but it's much easier to lose all of it on the computer.

Actually, funny story...

it's easier to download 200 albums than it is to rip 200 CDs to your computer XD

Yeah. You can't really lose all the albums if you've downloaded them, they're still there on the internet, just download them again.
