Since they both sound pretty similar, who actually deserve more credit, and why?

That's weird, many people seem to notice a very close similarity between these bands, while to me the resemblances are fairly superficial.

Dissection definitely deserve the credit they've got, even though the new single sucks.
Far Away From The Sun is one hell of an underrated album, people.

I thought the sound was pretty much the same, only on far away from the sun, it is executed far better. So many people blame them as dissection copycats, though I think they really added to dissections sound. The melodies are far better, blacker and melancholic, and there is really a strong cold atmospehere caried through them rather than beside them, as dissection tends to do. I think they are superior to dissection...

Sacramentum's better than the new Dissection, that's for sure!

They're both so awesome that I couldn't choose. I love both Far Away From The Sun and Storm of the Light's Bane.

I had to vote Both.

Many things are... it's painful to even think about that horrid track...

I think it's better than old dissection as well... Dissection lost it sometimes in some songs, something that never happened on Far away from the sun...
