| Post subject: | Xasthur - Defective Epitath |
I am not a Xasthur fan, but i am REALLY enjoying Malefic's latest album, it's so dreamy and beautyfull, and yet so extremely harsh and depressive. I can't stop listning to it. What do you guys think about this album? |

People have said that it's zero progression for Malefic, or that it's lacking the oppressive atomsphere of previous albums -- which is a contradiction. Furthermore, I don't recall him using a cello on previous works, nor do I recall the sound being so post-rockish (or as you said, dreamy) So thus, it is a progression, albeit a small one. It's a nice album. Better than the material on the Nortt split, methinks. |
