I am not a Xasthur fan, but i am REALLY enjoying Malefic's latest album, it's so dreamy and beautyfull, and yet so extremely harsh and depressive. I can't stop listning to it. What do you guys think about this album?

People have said that it's zero progression for Malefic, or that it's lacking the oppressive atomsphere of previous albums -- which is a contradiction. Furthermore, I don't recall him using a cello on previous works, nor do I recall the sound being so post-rockish (or as you said, dreamy) So thus, it is a progression, albeit a small one.

It's a nice album. Better than the material on the Nortt split, methinks.
