I refrained long enough from posting the entire list of stuff I bought while I was gone, but now I just have the right mood to do it (or maybe my elitist half finally overcame the "nice guy" one).
ABBA - ABBA (after months of staring like a stuck pig on this CD I purchased it);
Arkona (Pol) - Nocturnal Arkonian Hordes;
Arkona (Pol) - Konstelacja Lodu;
Aryan Wind/Brumalis/Valhalla Saints - Darkness, Hatred and War (now, I didn't buy this split and I would've never done that, it's the shop keeper who gave it away for free. The booklet is so shitty that it would've been better if they haven't printed any. Aryan Wind is more or less OK, but the other two bands are total crap);
Blackdeath - Saturn Sector;
Blackdeath - Fucking Fullmoon Foundation (I remember Daniel reviewed their later release, but this stuff is much better, although they play in typical Russian way - this means they don't try to make their way to the mind of the listener, they just break through his skull. And not many people can appreciate this);
Carpathian Forest - Skjend Hans Lik (the new songs are wholly satisfactory, but the demo is simply awesome);
Drudkh - Forgotten Legends;
Dub Buk - Мiсаць Помсти;
Dub Buk - Iду на ви! (everyone who can enjoy a band without paying any attention to their ideology should try them, especially Мiсаць Помсти);
Entombed - Left Hand Path;
Ferro Ignique's - World Wide War (dedicated to those who miss old Immortal. The vocalist sounds almost as Abbath);
Forest (Rus) - Forest (a compilation of their earlier releases, probably their best);
Gontyna Kry - Welowie (more good NSBM);
Grabnebelfürsten - Von Schemen und Trugbildern (and this band is very interesting indeed. The music is quite original, the vocalist, imo, has a very big potential, and the lyrics he writes are just great);
Griffar - Of Witches and Celts (I think Misha already told everyone here how great this band is);
Hellveto - My Eternal Hegemony... (Limited to 333 pieces 8) );
Hellveto - In Arms of Kurpian Phantom (lots of uncheesy synths that create a nice atmosphere. The guitars are very enjoyable too. And this is a one-man band);
Loits - Vere Kutse Kohustab (maybe the best Estonian BM band. But of course there are many who dislike it);
Mayhem - Pure Fucking Armageddon (Some classics... Limited to 1000 copies 8) );
Meads of Asphodel/Mayhem - Jihad/Freezing Moon (MoA amazed me with the way they mix all this music together, making it catchy as hell. Mayhem... I can say only one thing to make everything clear: Dead sings on those songs);
Nokturnal Mortum - The Taste of Victory (didn't think I had a chance of finding this one);
Nokturnal Mortum - Twilightfall (recommended to all metal fans, NM weren't NS back then);
Nycticorax - Umbra Mortis (never thought a day would come when a Latvian BM band would record at least a good album (Skyforger being the only exclusion));
Pink Floyd - Shine On (Box Set) (I would've never bought it without some material help from my father, who is also a big fan of them);
Pink Floyd - The Division Bell (after Waters left, PF lost it's genius, but, imo, remained to be a good band);
Portishead - Dummy (another album that I wanted to buy for a very long time);
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - The Queen Symphony (Tolga Kashif payed a great tribute to a great band);
Sublime - s/t (I fucking adore this album! It's simply beyond words...);
Taake - ...Doedskvad (it took six months for this Cd to arrive... You think it's mail service? :roll: );
Thy Repentance/Nuclear Winter - Control Shot or Halls of the Red - Ode to War (Apotheosis of Hate) (Thy Repentance in Russian BM underground has a legendary status and, imo, they earned it, while NW plays hypnotic, gloomy, post-apocalyptic BM creating images of our devastated, radiated homeworld. Limited to 500 copies);
Ulver - Teachings in Silence (it's great that the band abandoned their BM sound and began to make such masterpieces);
Urskumug - Pāreja (another BM band hailing from Latvia. And another surprise for me);
Uruk-Hai - In the Side of Eternal Eclipse;
Zемфира - До свидания...;
Zемфира - Четырнадцать недель тишины (a Russian rock/pop/trip-hop/jazz/techno/whatever band with a female vocalist, one of my all-time favourites. The title translates as "Fourteen Weeks of Silence");
Vladimir Spivakov - Moscow Virtuosi - 25 Years (I've went to the concert and I must say this was one of my greatest experiences ever);
Ordered:
Anapilis/Valefar - Dausos…/Mirtis ir Tyla (7");
Anubi - God's Panteon;
Loits - Meeste Muusika (7");
Soulcide/Nuclear Winter - Misanthropy/Beyond the Nought (limited to 999 pieces);
Thy Repentance/Nuclear Winter - Control Shot or Halls of the Red - Ode to War (Apotheosis of Hate) (a special edition with a bonus disc, limited to 50 copies 8) 8) );
