So whats wrong with 'mindless thrashing', I guess it amounts to personal taste in terms of relevance. But I seriously would take 10 Morbid Saints and Kreators to boring 00ber gay technical or nominally progressive bands like Spiral Architect or Dream Theater.

I like music with substance, which mindless thrashing fails to provide. True, Dream Theater nowadays are a bunch of egotistical wanks, but at least they possessed feeling in their earlier years, which is more than what Sodom or Tankard can say.

I don't know about Tankard but I get a headrush everytime I listen to Agent Orange.

Yeah the octavarius is one of the dumber posters i've encountered with his "lulz" bullshit. His shit reeks of not even knowing what the fuck he's listening to and trying to be cool.

and dream theaters newer music has a lot of great moments, look at octavarium's 24 minute title track, great track, Or stuff off the new album.
