There's no reason not to review Pearl Jam here.

Having said that I would prefer to see reviews of newer stuff. Unless PJ have a new one out I take it you mean archive reviews?

Unless you mean classic reviews, in which case I wouldn't especially want to see PJ being done. Some of their stuff is classic but it's not like they're iconic works that have changed the face of metal.

IMO metalreviews.com should welcome diversity in its day-to-day reviews but should keep it metal when picking classics.

Oh archives for sure, but I think Ten deserves a classic for its Rock status. I'll probably just do it archive, though, as there are plenty of other Rock classics that deserve to go first, like Led Zep's first four, early Sabbath, Cream, god, even Hendrix. I'm not on an all-out war to annoy people, so don't expect to see Norah Jones getting my reviewage.

Fair enough... I do think Ten is a classic album, just IMO it's not a priority as far as a metal site goes. Would definitely like to see it done as an archive review though.

I understand why your frustrated Zad, being a 'bisexual' virgin must be tough.

All this shit about how you should review what you want blah blah blah. No. Adveser, you want to be a member of the Church of Satan-you're an idiot. I don't log onto a website reviewing specifically horror movies and support the idea for them to review fucking 1950s romance flicks because they had some loose links with modern horror cinema now, do I?

Broaden my horizons? I love music from all over the spectrum, but I live for metal. Well, I can say that as a hyperbole anyway. Don't give me that shit. You're not metalheads. You're casual metal listeners. Wait, posers. Fuck posers.

I might as well expand:

I listen to all types of music, I'm not against it.

Also, if I didn't specifically refer to anyone as posers why did you automatically take offence? Because you are one?

Call me what you want, I do consider myself a metalhead.... But if posing is to call himself a metalhead and still enjoy other music just as much, then I guess I am by your standards.

Did you read what I posted? I'm in a similair position but an old saying goes "there is a time and a place". This might be the time-but it definantly isn't the fucking place-to review GRUNGE.

Pearl Jam are good (from what I've heard, Jeremy is a great song), but I question their place in a Metal site. If it can be ligitimized, I'd be all for it.

Mind you, I consider some grunge to be part of the metal scene... Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, and more... Grunge fits on MR.

I thought that I'd made that quite clear, yet it isn't just that, it's all the posts that make up the slices of one very shitty cake.

I just think that credibility is serious in question here.

PJ's credibility or MR's credibility? Either way, PJ fits here.

The credibility of all credibilities-I just don't see enough jusification to put Pearl Jam on here-it's not like they're Iron Maiden or something.

Credibility? CREDIBILITY?! Bloody hell, Pete, have I not reviewed enough underground Metal for your liking? Is there some corner of the scene that lacks my attention in some shape, manner or form? Or is this just bitter eggs because your favourite Thrash album hasn't been reviewed, in which case you have no room to attack me for wanting to review something non-Thrash?

Metal Reviews is a fucking BASTION of the underground. It's all very well moaning about a review that HASN'T EVEN HAPPENED YET, but where were you when the underground was getting mentioned, where were your comments supporting my reviews of Thrash bands that, say, come from Yugoslavia and as such might well be considered part of the underground Thrash movement, if such a thing exists? Metal Reviews could review nothing but Limp Bizkit for the next month, giving it favourable scores and calling it 'the future of Metal as we know it', and still the site overall would have more credibility than you could build up in a lifetime.

Try reading what I say: I fully intend to continue to support the underground Metal scene. One. Review. Of. Something. Different. A. Week. Will. Not. Hurt. Anyone. Jesus, I don't remember this level of unrest when Misha was reviewing albums of minimalist piano, and only a blind, deaf chav retard with no ears, brains or eyebrows would consider Pearl Jam to be less Metal than minimalist piano. Is there an extra chromosome in your DNA, perhaps? Is that why you're entering such nonsense?

I hate grunge with a passion but if rock albums get reviewed then i don't see why not grunge in fact we have an alt forum and grunge is considered a form of alt music so even though I despise the gender it won't bother me one bit if Zad reviewed PJ,AIC,SG,STP or other grunge bands.

Zad launches his strongest offensive yet in The Battle of Pearl Jam!
