I feel very embarresed (spelled wrong) but i've never been at a black metal gig, yet. But i think i will when i move to bigger city that is placed in the middle of everything.
Last concert was with Lost Prophets, Slipknot and Metallica in Copenhagen. I felt i was betraying myself :?

Don't be too embarassed, I've NEVER been to a gig, of any sort. beat that, you posing bitch!

Seriously, i 've only been into metal for a year or so, and just never had the time/transport/spare cash/whatever. I mean to go to one eventually, don't worry. And lostprophets are the worst band to come out of Wales since whichever shitty emocore band they had last (funeral For A friend? Hondo Mclean?).

I saw Sonata Arctica 2 times in April, and they sound awesome live.
I had heard that tony's voice wasn't great live, thats totally false.

I also saw Dark Tranquillity in may. They were so friggin great.
They totally stole the show from Soilwork who where headlining that
show. Hypocrisy and Mnemic played before Dark Tranquillity.
The crowd was most excited during Hypocrisy and Dark Tranquillity.
Lots of people left after DT. I stayed for 7 songs of Soilwork but got bored out of my mind so I left too.

I'll be seeing Angra in september, their first time ever in Canada!

Last one for me was Goatwhore, Napalm Death, and Cannibal Corpse. Kataklism(sp?) opened but we didn't get there in time for them. I don't like em much but it still would have been cool to see them. Maybe they would've changed my mind. Corpse shredded for almost 2 hours, it was fucking musical nirvana. And the guy from Goatwhore told they Hardcore dolts to stop the Kung-Fu dancing during his set, lest he stop it for them. :D

The Dresden Dolls and NIN.

TDD were nice and NIN was absolutely awesome. I destroyed my throat singing and my neck headbanging. I almost cry while they played Hurt!

I saw Nile open for King Diamond and that was a great show. Nile was sick as the new drummer kicked ass. The sound could have been better as the guitars were not mixed high enough, but these guys are incredible. I am not a King Diamond fan, but he does put on a good show and the musicians and sound are top notch.

A few days later I saw Vehemence, Crematorium, The Red Death play at a local pub. There were not many people there and they let me drink my Guinness out of the pint at a table near the stage, thus I had a hell of a time. All the bands had good sound (Props to the sound man) and played a great show.

Afterwards, I bought a few of the band members a round or 2 (I make good money) and the club owner kicked out all the pedestrians and we shot the shyt and drank beers for hours later telling old metal stories. (I played in Death Metal bands from '88 til '93.) It was a good time.

Just saw Therion yesterday. The drums were way too loud and covered the guitars almost completely, I didn't like that. So the sound wasn't too good, but otherwise it was fun and enjoyable. The 2 guys in the choir drank beer constantly, saluting the crowd and themselves, so after two hours, when the show was over, one of them was so drunk that he could barely walk and accidentally smacked one of the alto girls in the head.

LotR symphony with the K-W orchestra :D  It fuckin' ruled, and I'd see it a million times over! The battle music simply ruled, and the orc drums kicked arse  Haven't been to many metal concerts lately though. Nothing good has come around since I've been back.

yesterday I went to see Lamb Of God, Caliban, UNearth & Every Time I Die

first the show began early so I missed ETID... then Unearth were not bad but had a crappy sound (the guitars were drowned in). Caliban were nice (very pro) and had a good sound but they're not my kind (+ the singer is a poser)... Lamb Of God were good (very cliché though) but I got tired pretty quickly if their performance

an average show, glad I had free tickets ! :P

Dark Tranquillity yesterday, quite good. Best moments where when they played Punish my Heaven and ThereIn... at least for me...

I love the guys, they opened an extra show because the tix sold out and many fans couldn't make it to the show, and as they played the next day somewhere else the second show was played 30 mins after the first one. They sure love their fans...

Gods Of Metal 2005 last Saturday :D

Both Slayer and Iorno Maiden were completely awesome... Strapping Young Lad and Obituary were also very good, Dragonforce were ok amd Lacuna Coil weren't that great.
