You're soooo trOO!
 whats your problem?

And zad, maybe not. I never liked it, and Kill 'em all deserves it more imo.

Interesting how most people seem to be marking RTL down... maybe it doesn't deserve a classic after all.

It does. The problem with RTL is that there are two weak songs, Trapped Under Ice & Escape... Other than that, it's a near perfect album with 6 classic songs! :dio:

@ metal_xxx
I have no problem. I just thought your ratings of Load and Reload were a tad too extreme and probably a way for you to express how true a thrash fanatic you are...

I'm no thrash fanatic at all actually, I just don't like those albums... Not my thing. A few good songs, but nothing in particular.

NO.

NO NO NO NO NO.

ABSOLUTEMENT NON.

IMO S&M is their most underrated release, nobody really talks about it any more but every time I listen to it I love it.

St Anger does have some cringeworthy moments but also some great songs here and there, the UNknown Feeling especially.

I'll put up a super-accurate rating later, but for now this is how I break it down:

Kill em all - 75
Ride the lightning - 80
Master of puppets - 100
And justice for all - 95
Metallica - 80
Load - Unknown, haven't heard the whole thing despite owning it
Re-Load - 75
St. Anger - 65

If I log on next week to see it reviewed as an archive with a rating of 64/100 I'm gonna go and listen to Fallout Boy.

and my approximate ratings are:

Kill 'Em All 80/100
Ride The Lightning 80/100
Master Of Puppets 95/100
...And Justice For All 90/100
Black Album 80/100
Load 70/100
Reload 75/100
St. Anger 20/100

I haven't heard S&M, garage days or other stuff. I still think Metallica can make a great comeback though. I'm almost certain it will not be a thrash comeback towards their earlier days but I believe they still have it and can create a quality modern metal/hardrock album that could rate around the 90 scale.

Looooooosers! Escape is pure NWOBHM goodness, and Trapped Under Ice is as good as a song thats stolen from Exodus can be!

RTL is their best album, 95/100.

And for the rest..

Kill Em All- 90/100
Ride the Lightning- 95/100
Master of Puppets- 80/100
...And Justice For All- 85/100
Black Album- 55/100
Load- 40/100
Reload- 40/100
St. Anger- 5/100

Why do you consider black album a classic?

The 4 first Metallica albums are classics. Escape is a hell of song, one of the most underrated of metal, and Trapped under ice is a good one.

And Black album is, imo, not a classic.
