A few tracks off myspace but that doesn't change the fact that Evile is better than a lot of retro thrash.

Did you guys check the Filipino band End Of Man I mentioned earlier or do you just don't care what I say?

Better discovering new bands than discussing which is overrated, don't you think?

Not when they are as overrated as Evile.

That is much more fun.

Evile's not bad, just nothing special... So, considering the trend, yes, they're overrated. Yet, they've only released one album so who knows what can happen.

They could release another album that gets way too much praise and gets over 90/100 again.

You're commenting on an album that doesn't exist yet. Now that just plain silly... Give 'em a chance.

I'll give them a chance, then sit in disgust how many people praise it, when there are much better older bands or newer bands that deserve the attention.

People who buy/download new Evile will not even touch new Exumer or At War.

Now that's just plain silly.

The difference between Evile or any other retro thrash band and the classics are that some, some of the classic bands have lost that spark which make retro thrash listenable. These classic bands which have lost the spark: Slayer, Metallica, Death Angel and I'm sure you know others. Evile isn't a 90/100 band; you're right but they are better than new Death Angel.

Ok so I would rather listen to Evile over say Metallica or Death Angel.

But, you obviously haven't heard Psychopathy Red by Slayer, that destroys all of Evile.

I downloaded Evile, out of curiosity granted, and still own Exumer's both album.

You're assuming too much DW. Give people more credit.

I bet you when new Evile leaks/gets reviewed here/whatever nobody who praises that album will have heard/plan on hearing new At War and/or Exumer. I'd bet you money on it if I could.

At War, at least the only album I know (Ordered to Kill), were pretty unspectaclurar and below average.

Plus they are back, that's what I am saying. So is Exumer. Both have albums planned for 09 releases. Much more important to me than anything Evile will ever do.

We'll see what happens then. But I rarely had good surprises with late comebacks of obscure 80s band trying to surf on the revival hype...

I'll agree with you on that. Most old bands that come back are shit. And I am not saying that new Exumer or At War will be way better than any other new band. All I am saying is the effort and praise that people will put into Evile should be going out to much more deserving bands.

Musically not bad, but those vocals sure are annoying.

It took you 5 minutes to judge a band...
If every kid who likes Evile did the same with Exumer, you'd be pissed.

I listened to 2 songs.

I liked the music.

The vocals were annoying.

What more do you want from me?

I could of said that I will check them out, then never ever post about them again. But I didn't did I? I gave an honest opinion.
