So, then, we can expect to not see your opinion on the new album when it's leaked/released, right? Lots of people say they don't care, but they sure do spend a lot of time doing things that seem like they care.

Seriously though, regardless of how the album turns out, I'm almost certainly going to love it. I pretty much loved their whole discography. It was the band that led me to discover thrash and therefore made my whole life a bit sweeter.

Have you got a band that meant so much to you in the past that they've earned a preemptive passing grade for every thing they do in the future, no matter how badly it might suck? Well thats Metallica for me.

That said, I get the feeling the new album is going to be one that I can be proud of liking, instead of having to constantly justify myself like I did when St. Anger came out.

I've loved since Metallica the day I first heard them (1983, man!) and have kept loving 'em and their albums but... St. Anger??? :huh:

What a piece of shit that was!!! :mad:

Anyway, I'm also expecting the new one to be good enough for me to proclaim that good ole 'Tallica's back and St. Anger was just a misstep in a quality discography.

But as I said above, Metallica is a weird sorta thing for me. If they release an album and I don't like it at first, I force myself to listen to it repeatedly until I damn well like it!

They are literally the ONLY band that garners such blind devotion from me. Everyone's entitled to a weakness or two.

Load is much better than St Anger, but I stick on St Anger from time to time. I liked certain tracks from the start, but I've grown fond of it
