but i think it becomes cooler when such things as these become history that people will remember. Besides this the first time danes make themself wellknown outside their own country. And... it wasn't all vikings who did this kind of things, we were good merchants, boatbuilders and explores as well. Of course this shouldn't take focus away from the norwigian and swedish vikings, they were "cool" too. F.eks. Erik the Red who travelled to Greenland, and some of the vikings continued to America, but had to retreat to greenland again because of several reasons.
It's just like living in italien and being proud of the roman empire that once dominated europa, parts of the middle east and parts of africa. That went down in history as well, but i doen't mean that people living outside italien thought it was cool.

It wasn't a good thing for the innocent women and children that were raped and murdered. The viking were basically a bunch of ancient football hooligans, who went around making a nuisance of themselves. The fact that so many see them as cool makes about as much sense as if the English started making bands with people dressed as Redcoats, singing songs about hunting Scottish rebels through the heather, loading muskets and "doin' it for the King".

And don't you think in the future people will look back on America as a modern day Rome?

If you got it the first time, then why is it that you continually said some form of 'you think nationalists are racists' in pretty much every post you made, even after I'd pointed it out the first time? And the second time?

I hate to seem like I'm jumping on the anti-Kathaarian bandwagon, but I also found your comments to be fairly anti-Semitic. I don't like being told that I'm automatically racist because of the religion I was born into, nor do I appreciate you saying that my relatives deserved what they got.
You seem like a fairly decent person, Kathaarian, but I do think your comments were a tad prejudiced.

I've visited Istanbul. It was very nice, especially the Blue Mosque.

I don't have any prejudice against Turkey or its people.

Ok ok I won't , I am actually a nice person. As far as I know there has been one incident of a group of Kurds murdered. There is not much I know about it. But I know that it was something that Turkish right wing extremists did. And they are people that I hate more than anyone. Just becasue of those idiots all us nationalists had to explain the people that we're not murderers and we had nothing to do about it.

It's hardly a massacre. But if you ask any Kurd they'll probably tell you it is by multiplying the numbers by ten.
