How do you get a vinyl only release on the net?

Interitus is cool, though the intro was misleading! Suddenly it turned into raw BM with vocalist whose voice is fucking weird!

Edit: I see you answered already lol. So, you connect your LP player to your pc??!?

yup, and used a cracked program :D i tried various programs, but ended up with tiny program that had lot's of neat features, sush as auto-track-divider and noise-remover.. i have used it for tapes also  .. i think i'll do it once again soon once i get some cables, cuz i have 4 tapes with a band called Toil, which is really awsome

ooooh, post them!

oooooh... i can't  .. i said i needed to get some cables first before i can rip them  ... the first time around i used my dads highquality cassette player, i no longer live at home, and my stereo needs another method to get it work :)

I meant when you can. Just move back home :D

okay... that won't ever happen again  My parents wouldn't allow me to move back, he he... i don't blame them though...

well, why didn't you just say so? .. you only need two Nyktalgia songs anyway apart from those i uploaded... so.. i could have uploaded the last two

btw ppl... perhaps "recommendations" is a bit of wrong word to use... it's more like an attemp to re-awake the black metal spirit on this forum  .. you know digging for new bands instead of stagnation

Wow. Thanks for the uploads. I already have the Aaskeriea album. It's okay but I find it a little bland. Nice pick of track though.

This one did not work for me. When I pressed download on the YSI page I got a 'siden kan ikke vises' message.

Nyktalgia ( from Nyktalgia, 2005)

03 - Cold Void

Sigrblot ( from Blodsband, 2003):
06 - Doende Generations Dom
07 - Obesjord
11 - Sacrament (Blood Religion Part I)

These were pretty decent. But again very ordinary (from a BM point of view of course)

I'll listen to the two albums later. I thought about buying the Interitus LP the other day when I saw it at a distro. Now I can see for myself if it's worth it.

I don't think it is the black metal spirit of the forum that is stagnating. I'm afraid it is the genre as such. The distance between the really good bands has been getting bigger lately methinks.

Hmm... well, I might recommend something aswell. This is a sample of Blood Red Fog's fantastic debut album. Atleast I find this album to be superb, heck, propably the best release I have heard this year. Give it a try people.

well.. probably depends on taste... cuz i find some of the stuff that's other ppl regards as awsome on this side as decent/ordinary as well

i posted the Sigrblot because it reminded me a bit of later Deathspell Omega at times. Maybe one has to listen to the whole album to hear that. When it was released it scored some fairly high ratings, just like Nyktalgia.. but again, taste varies

anywho... the Evilfeast link works on my comp.. try again

Oooh, thanks for the links. I am going to have to try some of these when I get more time. I've been looking for that Blood Red Fog ever since Skartasis mentioned it in the NP thread too and hadn't been able to find it.

...And that reminds me that I have something by Evilfeast somewhere on my computer, and I think I liked them. I'm going to have to find that and listen to it again, haha. :P

What's with the wink? Tager du pis på mig, haha? It all comes down to taste for sure.. I listened to the samples again earlier this morning and I actually found the Sigrblot very good this time around. So your recommendations enriched my life anyway..

Yeah, anything from France gets my interest. (Mostly due to how awesome Mystic Forest is)

Anyone know a band called Glittertind?

oh.. i better start practice using those smileys without confuse ppl :D .. glad you liked em..Sigrblot began writting this album all the way back in 99, so it was a bit ahead of it's time back then, imo. They don't consider themselves as black metal, though

i'm glad you liked it! :D ... Nyktalgia is going to release their second album soon, hope it's just as mysteries and good.

Yes, but they're not BM, more Viking Punk. Good styff, tho.

I managed to listen to a few of these finally... I liked Kältetod. Nyktalgia is pretty good, very nice. Drums are a little loud in the mix (the bass drum bothers me the most), but the Varg'ish vocals offset that. :) I may have to get my hands on this one.

I'd really like Aaskereia if it wasn't for the vocals. :( Not into Sigrblot either, though I can see the DsO comparison. I have a friend who will really like them though, I think.

If you like the french stuff FTR, get some Epheles.

Either: L'ombre de la Croix or Le Dernier Pardon
