according to Blabbermouth (i'd go and find the post, but i'm too lazy) a new SLAYER album is expected around summer, with lyrical themes similar to those in Diabolus and Divine Intervention.

As if doing gay BM wasn't enough... now they'll go fuck some classics.

I hate new Mayhem... if only Euro was still alive and friends with Varg... imagine a BM album co-written by Euro, Varg, Snorre and Hh...

Deathcrush is definitley the best Mayhem album, IMO.

I have high hopes for the next, although I guarantee the new darkthrone will be better.

I don't know... I mean, they have Attila back, so that's something (Maniac is soooooo gay), but I still think it's going to be really hard for them to put out a memorable album... I hope it's at least better than Chimera. That album was only a technical show off, and total crap.

Haha, yeah, Maniac fukcing blows. I only listen to new mayhem for Hellhammer because he inspires me to play, but I can listen to Cryptopsy who has a great drummer also and also like the music!

What do you think about the new Darkthrone? I think it's going to be ownage!

New Darkthrone sounds very promising.
And I've changed my mind about "Volcano" after hearing the shit-fest that is Black Lava. Goes on for far too long, too repetitive, complete bollocks.

Yeah, I hear you, even though I must confessI'm morbidly curious about this new ep.
As for the dream album you mentioned... well, except for Varg, which only partecipated as a session musician, DMDS was indeed written (though not at the same time) by the aforementioned indivuduals (plus Necrobutcher and Dead, of course); it's just that Snorre doesn't ever get credited anywhere.
I'd love to hear something like that, though... with Dead on vocals, of course.

Well all these bands have had some major lineup shifts in the past couple of years.

As mentioned, Atilla is fronting Mayhem

There are lots of speculation swirling about the session guitarists for Satyricon. One of the names surfacing is Tjalve of 1349.

The Devil himself, David Vincent, has returned his creative genius to Morbid Angel.

And if you've been under a rock the last 3 years, Dave Lombardo has returned to Slayer.

From those bands, i am pretty sure only Satyricon will put out something good/decent.

Satyricon's still good in my book. Volcano wasn't amazing, but it was cool enough for me.

We agree again. And I still like new Mayhem, though admittedly Chimera rarely gets played around here.

Heretic though...pretty much sucked.

I was leafing through an old issue of Kerrang, which said both Slayer and Satyricon would have new albums out in 2004! :x
P.S both are due this year

Well, you've only got yourself to blame for that.

Right. I blame those horrid fuzzy underwater-sounding guitars on Trey's creative influence. Hopefully David will reassert himself as the creative mind of Morbid Angel, and make the tracks bass-heavy again.

I agree... Hh's drumming is amazing... but I don't buy a BM album to (only) hear amazing drumming...

New Dt should be interesting... at least they've changed the direction of the last two albums (which were decent...)

New Dt will be Crusty as fvkk, and that might be quite cool.

The new Darkthrone sounds promising, aye. I really like the single song.
