I'm surprised by all the AJFA love. It's been my favorite for quite sometime, especially after I got over my "Metallica phase," but I always thought it didn't get the credit it deserved.

If I had to rank order I'd say:

1. AFJA
2. MOP
3. Black Album
4. RTL
5. Load
6. Reload
7. DM
8. KEA
9. SA

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of either album. Not bad, just not worth frequent listens.

Ride the Lightning for me. Just the right combination of NWOBHM goodness and thrash, and with the exception of Trapped Under Ice, which is still good, each song is a classic. MoP has some awesome songs (Battery, Master of Puppets, Leper Messiah, Orion) but it also has some pretty boring ones (Disposable Heroes, Damage Inc.) and one bad song (The Thing that Should Not Be). I like ...And Justice, but it has really weak production and a couple weaker songs as well.

5. Black Album
6. Death Magnetic (about tied with Black Album for me)
7. Load
8. Reload

Kinda hard for me to pick between RtL, MoP and AJFA, as it could change between these three at any given time.

Voted for MoP because it had fewer votes.

Kill Em All - 8.00
Ride The Lightning - 8.63
Master of Puppets - 9.00
And Justice For All - 9.11
Metallica - 8.50

Ride the Lightning.I'm probably bias because it was my first album[of any kind] when I somehow got my mom to buy it for me when I was like 10,but even now if I want to listen to Metallica RTL is where I go first.Beyond RTL I would go....
