Is anyone going to write about the topic? The difference between death and black is obvious . Just listen and figure it out yourself. Anyway my favourite folk bands are Finntroll and Ensiferum and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter if they count as BM or folk BM or whatever...

How you can talk about Folk-Black metal and not mention Windir is beyond me. Probably the best Folk-Black metal band there ever was.

That's because I have never had the chance to listen to Windir. It has been in my order list for a long time but I don't have the money right now. :(

Slave if you have to, but find some cash for at least 1184 and Arntor.

Indeed; can't believe I didn't mention them!

Get Huldrafolk.

Songs of the Northern Gales is a good folkish Wyrd CD.

How can you talk about Folk-Black metal and not mention Isengard - that's beyond me.

And I agree with deathkvlt, you should check the NSBM scene. Even if you won't find any F-BM (but I really doubt that), I'm sure you'll discover many great bands.

While the boundaries are always hazy and ill defined, these bands are at least close to what you are asking for:

Windir
Mithotyn
Falkenbach
Ulver
Suidakra
Moonsorrow
Finntroll
Turisas
Ensiferum
Wintersun
Asmegin
Haggard

All great bands with some degree of folk influence, and the ones closer to the top are more "black".

As far as single albums go, my current two favorite folk-black metal albums have to be "Bergtatt" by Ulver and "Dark Medieval Times" by Satyricon. Then again, as all things, those tend to change a lot...

I was just looking at all the 2005 BM releases on metal-archives on a whim and came across this band and checked it out.. really good stuff.

Circulus are good, not very heavy but very folky. Otherwise, early Ulver, Finntroll, Enserifum, and the awesome Nokturnal Mortum.

Edit: Manegarm, motherfuckers.

Edit: Recent Primordial's pretty good. Not sure if it's what you're looking for, though.

If you had asked folk/viking I could give you a giant list. They are still black, but it seems as if you are getting a list of folk/raw/black. There are many folk/black/viking, but are not typically as raw. How specific do you wish this list to be cause I know many of us can go on an on an on :)

Within the folk/viking... you may have to still break it up amongst power/traditional/ and death. Tho i believe the majority of the bands are primarily black influenced (esp the vox)

A lot of good mentions so far.
The new Aes Dana is a killer folk/black album that has been newly released :)
