yea, more then a close relationship will pretty much clear this up. The desginer stated that they had a relationship and Gaahl didn't make any protest of some sort.

His son should be about 17 right now, so that is a possible scenario.

Why should it matter if he's gay or not anyways? Or is he "totally untr00" because of it?

Well he doesn't exactly fit the typical gay man image in most people's minds, hence all this confusion.
Im just glad I didnt sit in my dad's lap when I was 17.

Actually, those of us who speak Norweigan and can read the original article know what's implied, and that's more than a platonic friendship. And as said, Gaahl's leanings has been known among scene people here for years and nobody cares (you're right that things are more liberal here in Scandinavia).

I had to finally sign up to post on this. 2 of my buddies are in Polterchrist and they were hanging out with Gorgoroth yeeeearrrrs ago oversears and even back then, they were saying Infernus was all over Polter's drummer. does anyone else remember, not so long ago, on gorgoroths offical webpage, under the links, there was a link to the Nambla website, and one to Micheal Jacksons website.
I know for a fact those links where there while twilight of the idols was out. can anyone else back me up on this?
i thought those links were a joke, and may have been. but regardless, still some funny s**t.

Yes, the NAMBLA and Michael Jackson links were there on the old Gorgoroth website - guess they got taken down when the band got increasingly popular. Being gay won't hinder your careeer, supporting paedophilia certainly will.

there's actually been rumors that he's gay, but nothing came to the surface until now. after seeing the documentary and the paintings that he did, an artist did say that gaahl is gay but doesn't really know it or is fighting it. if you really think about it, the way he grew up and everything, it would make a lot of sense.

Meh, "implied" "they were saying" "claimed"... It's hardly evidence, even past the fact that it's anonymous people posting on the internet. And linking to Michael Jackson' website hardly makes you a paedophile, I remember links on Gorgoroth's website to a site that advocated Anti-Semetism and churchburnings.

Of course, there is a troubing thought that it might actually be true, that Gaahl adopted the boy to abuse him - heck, few of us would really be surprised if it turned out that Gaahl's a person of that sort. There is no evidence that he is, though. And if he is gay, so the fuck what? Homosexual Wrath Black Metal > Rabid Antichristian Black Metal.

me too - in fact i thought he lived in a world with electricity in a small outside Bergen, or whatever, on his own away from modern life. So all this designer crap is all new to me, including him might being gay. But then again, that description is probably okay if you are unsecure about your sexuality and think being gay is wrong - wouldn't be surprised if some people were hidden in the black metal scene to appear masculin in order to hide their sexual tendencies.

It's definitely not evidence nor proof, more like an indication. I personally suspect it's true, even though I don't care if it is, except for the somewhat funny aspect mentioned in hellwhore's post above.

What is annoying to me is something Astaroth touched, the fact that he constructed this image of himself as a recluse, living in some mountains, isolated from civilisation and so on and now we find he's just another (gay) women clothes designer. I so dislike this type of fabricated personalities. I think it's lame.

When you think about it, nothing is particularly "masculine" about black metal. Yeah sure its a male-dominated genre but what makes corpse paint, sinister looks and satanic lyrics masculine? I think women can be a lot more "evil" :lol:

The funny thing about all this is if it werent for his colorful private life and problems with the law (and his ex-band members) Gaahl would just be another black metal musician.

We all know all music genres have gays in them and personally, I couldn't care less. Still, the guy still looks like your average queer-killer and now the rumour has it he made out with a 15year old emo kid :lol:

Oh well, I don't like their music and Gaahl doesn't look like someone I could like as a person. Looking forward to a Gaahl-Bruno tv-show! :wink:
