wow... i'm surprised how black metallish this is, considering it is from the early/mid 80's. However, i'm disappointed with the quality of the lp's, half of the time there are "clicks" and buzzing.

And has anyone seen the Windir 'heidra Valfar' tribute concert dvd thing? Is it good? Also, would you pay AUD $50 for it?

Wind of the Black Mountains-extremely blasphemic, atmospheric USBM. It's basically early Bathory worship(Under the Sign, S/T) but they do it well. The riffs are amazing. The atmosphere is created by the music itself, and not by chessy synth effects. The lyrics can be a little silly, but this is Black Metal we're talking about. Some people have claimed that this band is perfect in every way, but that's a bit of a stretch. It's stil solid stuff, but I would reccommend Sing Thou Unholy Servants over Black Sun Shall Rise. They are both great albums, but Sing is stronger over-all.

Arcturus DVD-just get it. You won't be dissapointed. The performance is top-notch, and it runs for almost an hour and a half. There isn't much in the way of extras, but the concert itself is simply awesome. They do some visual effects to go along with the music, so you aren't just staring at their ugly mugs for the whole thing.

Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with Windir. I'd like to be, but I've never come across any of their stuff.
