Oh, man.

I just recently re-discovered Dark Tranquillity, and I'm liking this a lot more than I remember. Seriously, I mean, holy shit.

I feel ashamed for only having one of their albums (Damage Done)!

... ...

So, like, ya, this is Dark Tranquillity and stuff... Discuss.

My favorite melodic death metal band! They fucking rule! Every album is simply awesome. Buy more, my friend, but them all!

Probably about tied with Arsis and Soilwork's first 3 as my favourite melodeath band (Anata, Sceptic and Non-Human Level are up there too, but not that far up)... I just can't get enough of The Gallery, The Minds I, or Character.

Mikael Stanne's cheesy positionings are funny when they perform live too

Can't go wrong with DT's first 4 albums. I like Haven and Character to an extent too. Even Damage Done had a couple good tracks.

Totally second that. Anything by DT is a blind buy.

I agree with prevailing opinion of this thread!

DT is one of the very few bands of the 'melodeath' world that are still totally awesome long after after I've grown tired of In Flames and the rest.

If you love Damage Done you would probably be most receptive to Character, which is fantastic. Then go back and check out the Gallery and Mind's I. That's the least you can do.

I agree. Best and most technical mellow death with range between albums. This coming from a power metal fan as well.

One of those bands that is great on CD, but just not up to headliner quality live.

Check out Skydancer, The Gallery, and Character. Three very excellent albums, and though I like Damage Done, its probably my least favourite.

Well, based upon the opinion of this thread, I bought The Gallery today. I found it to be surprisingly awesome, considering my hatred for "Melo-Death". This band is the real deal. I love the Neo-Classical stuff they throw in there. Excelllent stuff. Thanks for opening my mind to this band.
