It's classic Sepultura. But is it a classic album? Vote and debate.

Voted no.
There's no denying the importance of Schizophrenia but it's not a good enough album to be reviewed as a classic.

I say yes, much more so than many of the ones done recently.

Aye, highly influential album. Old school Sepultura ftw!

To get my oar in, I voted yes. When I think of classic Sepultura, I think of the period from this until Arise, a brilliant trio that reflected a piece of history, from underground through brutality to the beginnings of mainstream acceptance. Then Chaos AD came and ruined it all...

Voted no because I think no Sepultura album does. I remember when I met Azrael, I told him I never liked Sepultura. He was all like "WHAT DA FUCK YA SAY ??!"

I didn't say I don't like Chaos, just that it was a bit of a step-down from Schizo, BTR and Arise. It does its thang, like Roots. Note how I've classicked BTR and Arise and not Chaos or Roots and all.

I'm torn on this topic: it was a good one. Your trio depiction is apt, but I don't think I can put it quite on the level of the two. But it was also the first one, which counts for something.

Fair enough, Chaos is indeed a step down from their brutal sound we all love.

Olaf the stout of "The Lost Vikings" fame didn't appear, so how good could this be?

I think I heard it once. I don't even worry about Sep anymore, so I guess there's my opinion.

I wonder what I could have meant by a man named Olaf who seems to travel in circles...maybe for a piece of time. Those Vikings seemed to be going around in a maze of some sorts.

No one played "The Lost Vikings" I guess.

I guess it is cuter when DLR talks like that.

I am now afraid of Adveser, and have passed his IP onto the police.

BTW, people agreeing with me that Schizo is a classic - PLEASE VOTE IN THE POLL OTHERWISE IT ALL MEANS NOTHING!

Ady clearly explained that he hasn't score amphetamines, so his behavior could become incoherent, erratically.

You see what happens Bruce when I try not to explicitely mention my favorite musicians in every single thread. That would get boring and the artisttry of creating a riddle from it would get lost. Now I'll mention this once, but if it doesn't make sense, assume I'[m talking about Vision Divine or Labyrinth.

And thanks for the nice words, good to see you are back. I hope you are feeling well. :D

In retrospect, since my actual opinion has made itself irrelevant through logical deduction to the finest of all respects (see paragraph one) I guess I'm going to have to express how I think in a more editorial sense.

Yes, this album would fit nicely with what MR.com considers a classic album. It is underrrated and defnitely meets the benchmark. Switch my vote if possible, or the next person who disagrees say yes anyway.
