someone should review this!

the first 3 tracks are mindblowing! and the last one, October, was quite a surprise.

this album is simply beautiful.

btw Gast, do you know of any other 'metal from the woods'?

I believe Aaron is on the review. October is my favorite track. The usual similarities are Ulver - Bergtatt, Woods Of Ypres - Against The Seasons and Agalloch - The Mantle. I suppose you have heard Drudkh's Autumn Aurora as well. I suggest you try Interitus - The Journey, Alcest - Le Secret, Odium Immortalis - Die Schönheid Der Einsamkeit, Nagelfar - Hünengrab Im Herbst, Darkestrah - Sary Oy, Die Toten Kehren Wieder Mit Dem Wind and anything by the rawer Maystic Forest and Eikenskaden. If you need more, or more underground bands, just ask.

thanks!

hmm lets see, ive heard Bergtatt and Autumn Aurora (though i really prefer Forgotten Legends - that was an amazing album).

as for Eikenskaden my favourite would be the Black Laments Symphonie.

btw, what about Stefan Kozak's other project? that one starting with a 'b'?

I'd like to once more propose Borknagar's self-titled debut to you guys. Very nature-endowed music.

Well, the split is decent, Feinbild Mensch half is not so good. Bad actually. But I suggest buying Die Schönheid Der Einsamkeit instead of that split.

hmm whats does Azerlath sound like?

Eikenskaden can be quite hard to get used to, but its well worth spending the time.

imo, Eikenskaden > Mystic Forest most of the time, except that BLS is roughly = to Green Hell
