New single "Salt the Wound" feels very much like they're going in that direction but lacks the heavy bottom end of Tempo. The Dukes stuff wasn't bad but wasn't anything overly special either. Destruction has been in a similar rut with their string of "solid-but-not-spectacular" releases.
