Progressing. Every good extreme metal band that started in the early 90's progressed their sound and didn't write the same album over and over. They progressed musically as musicians and weren't afraid to change.

While this maybe a valid point in terms of some bands, a key fact to note is the bands in my previous post where ones that retain elements of their sound spanning albums. I am not referring to a major creative 360, as opposed to merely having a formula that works and is capable of being fine tuned every release or so.

Just use Immolation as an example. There is no real secret or formula, at least that I can hear, they simply keep putting out fucking awesome album after awesome album. They are just so good at what they do that they can basically do whatever they want with their sound and please fans. They don't drastically stray from their signature sound or go crazy experimental mode, but each album also doesn't sound exactly like the last. They just keep putting out great music. Simple (for them anyways).

Stay as long as possible as a MetalGod ""

No mainstream

No Radiostream (no pop)

No Commercializing ( I mean like not to ..... "" )

Sound should stay as true metal as possible ( I mean it should be epic)

Ye, I hope their next album will be like their starting out career in the black metal time line or history.
