Overkill was out early 2010 so he's right. But he forgot Heathen.

Thank you, Overkill is out early 2010. And how can I forget Heathen Evolution of Chaos!

Destruction

Probably the best thrash band ever, I can't wait!

I almost wrote them off. I didn't really take "thrash Anthems" very seriously. It sounded like ass. It just didn't translate well for me and it was supposed to be their best stuff from over the years! But when I heard some of the original versions. WOW.

Ironbound is one of the best albums of the year but I was pretty disappointed with Exhibit B.

Can't be dissapointed by a band fronted by Rob Pukes;my expectations will always be pretty low with that guy...

Nothing Exodus has done since Tempo of the Damned has been any good, I'm not surprised their latest kind of sucked.

Overkill's album kicked serious ass and so did the Heathen. :dio:

Yeah, only Ironbound is impressive from that list. There-s been some good thrash albums from young bands though: Morbid Carnage, Hellish Crossfire, The Batallion, Immaculate, the Violator EP etc.

Oh and I almost forgot Lair Of The Minotaur's Evil Power, that's one serious ass kicking album.

Why are people talking down the new Forbidden? Is there some flaw I'm not hearing, something that makes it less than Thrashtastic?

Tankard will be out in december. :) At least here in germany. ;)

BUT if you not only like classic thrash bands but bands who are sounding like classic thrash bands, then 2010 was IMO a very good year:

Overkill - Ironbound
Exodus - Exhibit B
Forbidden - Omega Wave
Death Angel - Relentless Retribution
Sodom - In War and Pieces
Gama Bomb - Tales from the Grave in Space
Bonded By Blood - Exiled to Earth
Suicidal Angels - Dead Again
Witchery - Witchkrieg
Soulfly - Omen
