DLing now to give it a whirl. I actually had no clue they were even writing new music so this is an awesome surprise for me.

I've had the promo for a while.. Haven't spun it yet though. Tried alot to get their last one, but couldn't quite get it. I hope the production is better on this one.

Heh the production sounds very similar so you might be disappointed. Actually just in general it sounds comparable to Diminishing Between Worlds, they definitely aren't trying to drastically change anything it seems.

What exactly did you not like about the production anyways?

I don't know, I bought the Mp3's so it might have something to do with that, but uhm, I don't really know. It's too... compressed, in a way. I will give Polarity a spin or five though.

There was nothing wrong with the production on the last album.

I heard they left Diminished quieter than the average death metal album to avoid compression. I thought it sounded pretty solid, production-wise. Will probably check new one out.

From what I heard it was a bit more stagnant than Diminishing between worlds. Which is a shame because their prior album at least was amazing in my opinion, and the band didn't play in Houston when my fiance and I went to Summer of Slaughter. This makes for the second time they've disappointed live, and their album could've been a lot better.

Yeah, maybe it was the quiet-y thing I didn't like.. Because I remember it was hard to grab properly. Will give it another try.

Not hearing any stagnation personally, its as good or possibly better depending on what you liked best about Diminishing. Though, its definitely more of the same, so maybe that equals stagnation to some.

After a few weeks, I'm still liking it. There are more cohesive songs in contrast to the insane riffing of Diminishing but the melody is still there. I agree with the review that the vocals don't really add anything.I still prefer Diminishing to this, it's so complex I could listen to it every day and still notice new elements.

After listening to songs like Metatron, Mirroring Dimensions, and The Quickening of time, it's slightly more progressive than the past album. It's a bit stagnant but there are some quality songs, though it doesn't have the effect that Diminishing did, as I think Diminishing is a masterpiece. It's a decent album but I wouldn't spend money on it.
