Seriously. Leviathan are one of the most popular and well liked USBM bands on this site, yet, even as much as I love BM and primarily specialize in reviewing said music, all I hear when I listen to Leviathan is the phone static I get when I call my fiancee from Alligator Alley. I can't make out a single sound or anything. Am I really really missing something or does anyone agree that Leviathan is impossible to hear??? PS I've only heard Tentacles of Whorror.

Oh man no joke a few weeks ago I was in your same position. Bear with this bro.

Bask in this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSLwTDUzHo4

And dabble in Tenth Sublevel of Suicide and Howl Mockery at the Cross, the latter is my preference as of right now, and I kinda think it will click. Or at least that's how it was for me. For years, I didn't enjoy this band and I kinda hated it and after Tenth Sublevel clicked I really get it now.

It's a lot more audible than Tentacles of Whorror, but I really need to hear this on better speakers.

Cheap noise canceling headphones rock. Black metal automatically became 10x better when I invested the $20 in.

These are what I rock and they aren't bad but nowhere near perfection: http://www.amazon.com/Coby-CV194-Cancel ... roduct_top

Tentacles of Whorror, Tenth Sublevel of Suicide, Howl Mockery at the Cross are all perfectly audible  I've never had a problem listening to them through speakers or headphones

All I've heard from Leviathan has a relatively clean production compared to a lot of Black Metal, so I dunno what you're hearing.

Also, am I the only one who prefers Tenth Sub-Level to Tentacles?

Yeah. Leviathan isn't as raw as some bands in black metal. Maybe something is wrong with your copy or something. Also they are great.

I am hard of hearing, but I can hear my entire collection just fine. When I play Leviathan though I have no idea what is going on. I should give it another shot.
