Yeah, well I think it's pretty obvious that we have a different definition of exactly what constitutes thrash.

Case in point: when trying to explain that Blood Tsunami is not thrash, you mentioned South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss crossed with carcass.

To me, anything that sounds like seasons in the abyss, crossed with anything, is still gonna get classified as thrash.

Again, and this is just me, I think the vocals on blood tsunami are the only death/black element.

Last month i bought the "Creations Undoing" demo/ep by this band called "Mass Extinction", this is the best Thrash metal ive heard lately, its only a demo but the production is quite good, i think we should keep an eye for those guys they sound very promisisng, im surely gonna buy their full lenght as soon as it gets out.

Here is their Myspace, the song Global Assassin is from "Creations Undoing":

Wow, fucken awesome.

How long is the EP? Im the kinda guy who doesn't really buy anything under 25 minutes or so. Getting anything less than that is too frustrating, especially if the music is really good.

Should I pick it or wait for an album?

I don't think there is really a death or black elemnt save for the vocals at all, and whilst the riffage does sound similiar to Seasons in the Abyss and Necroticism era Carcass it just isn't thrash to me.Just thrashy.

Its only 3 songs, but if you can find it cheap you wont regret it.

Round these parts, i'm not exactly likely to randomly find it in any old store. Metal just doesn't have the biggest audience in a country with only 20-million-odd population!

My point being, i'd probably have to order it over the net, from some underground metal site, or from the band themselves, and then I'd have to pay international shipping costs..and blah, blah, blah.

I'm not sure three songs is worth it.

But based on their myspace, I really hope they put out a full-length soon.
